Whistlo is a dog whistle, clicker, and training app. It is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains, in plain language, what the app stores and what it sends — and the short answer is that it keeps everything on your phone and sends almost nothing.
Whistlo lets you name your dog, pick a breed, choose the struggles you want to work on, and log training sessions. It keeps your streaks, command progress, clicker count, and preferences. All of this is stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad.
Everything you enter lives on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go — we do not run a backend. If you delete the app, that data is gone, and we have no copy to restore.
Whistlo keeps your personal training data on your device. The whistle tones and clicker sounds are generated on your phone in real time, and your dog's profile, sessions, and progress are never uploaded to us. We do not have a user database that stores what you enter in the app.
To pair the clicker with your camera flash, Whistlo can turn the flashlight on and off; this uses the camera's torch only and never takes photos or video. Haptic feedback uses the device's vibration. Audio plays through your speaker. None of these produce data that leaves your device.
Whistlo does not send push notifications and has no notification server. Any sound you hear comes from you pressing a button in the app.
Whistlo Pro is a subscription sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple gives the app a receipt confirming the subscription is active. We never see your credit card number or your Apple ID, and Apple handles all billing, renewals, and refunds.
The current version of Whistlo does not include third-party analytics, and the personal data you enter — your dog's profile, sessions, and progress — is never shared for measurement or advertising. If we add measurement tools in a future version to understand how the app is performing, we will update this page to describe exactly what is collected before that change ships.
This privacy and contact site is a set of plain, static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It has no forms, no cookies, and no analytics. Like any website, Cloudflare may see basic technical information (such as your IP address) when your browser connects, which is used only to serve the page and block abuse.
Whistlo is a general-audience app suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Because your data never leaves your device, you are already in full control of it. To change your dog's details, edit them in Settings. To erase everything, delete the app.
If we ever change how the app handles your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
